There are good tours…and then there are great tours: Bea Etayo’s tours are truly great. They’re great because she takes you to select locations which you would never find on your own, creating memorable experiences that last long after the tour is over. Bea is a true insider with the local knowledge that only an insider can possess on the history, food, and wines of Pamplona and the greater Navarre region.
We took two tours, each one quite different. The first was the “City and Pintxos” tour and the second was a visit to a boutique vineyard outside Pamplona. What you need to know about each is that Bea personalized each tour to our interests and tastes. We have done many tapas & pintos tours over the years…and have visited many a bodega in Spain. But few can compare in terms of quality to what we saw, ate, drank with Bea.
Looking for something truly unique and exceptional when you visit Pamplona? Look no further than Pamplona Food and Bea Etayo!
This tour was the highlight of our trip. We did it our first day in Spain so we were educated for the rest of the trip. The tour was amazing and we learned so much. I had only heard of Tapas, so Pintxos was unknown to us. We would have never enjoyed Pamplona as much without this tour first. We ended up going back to several of the places on the tour. Bea was amazing… it felt like she was just one of our friends. We didn’t want it to end and a few in our group mentioned the next day, “hey can we call Bea up so she can come hang out with us??” I have taken a food tour in every city I traveled, and this was hands down in my top. Do it, you won’t regret it.

My wife and I and two friends toured Spain and Portugal for seven weeks in Sept / Oct 2017. I can truly say Bea’s 4 hr walking tour of Pamplona was an absolute highlight of our time in Spain.
With only a few participants it is so personal and informative because Bea can respond to your individual queries and requirements. She has a very natural outgoing personality which made conversation an enjoyable experience. When she discovered that since retirement I cooked the majority of our meals she extended the tour by taking us to a mens gastronomical club which was amazing….so much so that I immediately wanted to join the club which obviously was not possible.
We did approximately six or seven organised tours during our seven weeks but I could not recommend any of them above Bea. It is truly worthwhile from start to finish.
You will not regret it !!!!!
My wife and I along with our son and daughter-in-law toured Pamplona with Bea. This walking tour of the downtown area included a visit to the old Cathedral Santa Maria La Real,a walk down the streets where the annual Running of the Bulls take place and a fine private room lunch with wine at a small local bistro. All the time, our tour guide Bea was charming and informative about the paths we walked and the sites we saw. I can highly recommend this tour and Bea for a thoroughly enjoyable experience
Bea arranged a really good tour of Pamplona, finished off with a wine tasting and lunch. Bea has just the right combination of knowledge and enthusiasm for both her home city and the culture, food and wine of the region.
She arranged collection from our hotel (Pedro and his much loved half a million k Mercedes minibus he has had from new) Pedro also took us back when we were ready all the arrangements were made by Bea and were seamless.
We always try and do a walking tour when we are somewhere “new” and Bea is up there with the best we have done anywhere in the world.
The wine tasting and Lunch were great and the overall value excellent.
Can not praise her high enough ! We really enjoyed the day.
Many thanks !
Spent a wonderful, rainy day with Bea touring some great sights in the old city, along with some very cool pintxos and accompanying wines. Bea is lovely and full of interesting info. Highly recommend!
Spent an absolutely fantastic afternoon, with Bea, from Pamplona Food. She was informative, fun and excellent company. The pintxo was simply delicious and her recommendations of things to see an do in Pamplona proved to be spot on. A five star experience
A perfect end to our Camino trip. Having walked for eight hours on the last day of our Camino, we could be forgiven for questioning whether we were up for a walking tour of Pamplona. More exercise, anyone? ♀️♀️♀️Yet this was a perfect end to a perfect holiday. We met at the hotel, Bea apparently unfazed by seven (simultaneously) chattering Irish women, all formidable talkers, if not walkers. A quick stop at the wooden model of medieval Pamplona gave us an overview of this beautiful, ancient city and from there we walked to the walls and gate of the city, stopped off at its impressive Cathedral and traced the bulls’ infamous annual route through the centre to the bullring.
Bea wears her knowledge lightly, sharing historical, political, architectural facts and local snippets in an easy manner that makes the tour altogether palatable. Having gemed up on local knowledge, we felt it would be rude not to reward ourselves with some delicious fare. Bea took us to excellent restaurants/bars where we enjoyed superb food and equally great wine. Bea herself is a delight and we all thoroughly enjoyed her company. Highly recommended!
