Discover Pamplona’s Old City and finish up with a taste of Food & Wine from Navarra!
The walking tour will commence in the area occupied by Cathedral of Pamplona. This burgh, Navarrería, has been inhabited since the 5th century BC due to its strategic position over the river. We will discover the origins of Pamplona and the Saint James Way (El Camino)
In the City Hall square we will know how the three burghs or cities in which was subdivided Pamplona were finally unified in 1423 by the king Charles III. The new City Hall was built in the intersection of the three cities.
We will walk the streets where the Running of the Bulls takes place and will get to know about the San Fermin festival, its origins, history and traditions.
We follow the walk with the wine and food tasting at Pamplona Food’s premises. In here we will get to taste 3 great local wines (white, rosé and red). During the tasting we will get to know about local varieties and wine making techniques in the Navarra region. Once we have tasted the wine, we will then have some artisan quality food. It would make your lunch.
